Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know about Iris Vitality, our protocols, medications, and support.
Does This Actually Work?
How soon will I notice a change?
Most people feel their appetite quiet down first, usually within the first week or two. The change on the scale tends to show up later — often between weeks 4 and 8, after your first dose increase. One honest note: lasting results are measured in months, not weeks. Give your body a little time. It's worth it.
How much can I expect to lose?
It varies a lot — it depends on your body, your starting point, and your consistency. In clinical research, people who stayed on treatment saw meaningful weight loss over longer periods. We won't promise you a dramatic number. After your assessment, your physician will talk through a realistic expectation based on your actual situation. Slower, steadier loss is the kind that stays off.
Is It Safe? Could It Harm Me?
What are the side effects, and how are they handled?
Almost everyone worries about this, and we understand completely. Honestly, most people do have some reaction in the first few weeks — nausea is the most common, occasionally constipation, usually tied to a dose increase, and it typically eases within a week or two. The reason we titrate slowly is exactly to keep that discomfort as low as possible. And you're not toughing it out alone: your physician is there the whole way to adjust and answer your concerns. Months 2 through 4 are usually the hardest stretch — the point where a lot of programs lose people. We'll stay with you through it.
Where does the medication come from? Is it reliable?
Your medication is prepared and dispensed by a US-based, licensed, HIPAA-compliant partner pharmacy, after a physician writes your prescription. It contains the same active ingredient as the brand-name drug. To be straight with you: the compounded version is not FDA-approved and is not equivalent to Zepbound® or Mounjaro® — but it's the same molecule, just without the brand markup. Your physician will explain this clearly, nothing hidden.
Is this right for me? When is it not appropriate?
Your physician carefully reviews your medical history, current medications, and risk factors during the assessment to decide whether this treatment is a good fit. If anything makes it unsafe for you, they'll tell you directly and talk through other options. We would rather turn you away than let you take a risk you shouldn't.
How Does It Actually Work?
What does the whole process look like?
It's simple, and it all happens from home: you fill out a short health assessment (about 2 minutes) → a US-licensed physician reviews your history and answers → if it's a fit, they design a treatment plan for you → your medication ships to your door, cold and discreet → from there you self-inject weekly, with your physician following your progress.
Do I need a video visit?
No. The entire process is online. The health information and history you submit are personally reviewed and evaluated by a US-licensed physician, who makes the medical judgment and is responsible for it. This isn't an algorithm — it's a real physician standing behind your plan. If they need to understand your situation further, they'll reach out securely.
I've used this before — can I start at a higher dose?
Possibly. Your prior experience is taken into account during the assessment, and your physician will judge the right starting dose based on your history. Safety always comes before speed.
Cost and Your Way Out
How much is it? Do I need insurance?
No insurance needed. Pricing is fully upfront and transparent, with no hidden fees — after your assessment you'll know exactly what it costs. And if you don't qualify, the assessment is completely free. You won't be charged a cent.
What if the treatment isn't right for me, or I'm not satisfied?
You have a way out, and you can rest easy about that. If within 30 days your physician determines the treatment is medically inappropriate for you or isn't working, we'll arrange a full refund. Any medication already shipped and unused is handled under our refund policy. You won't be stuck in a plan that isn't right for you.
Can I pause or cancel anytime?
Yes. No contract, no minimum spend. You can pause shipments, adjust the frequency, or cancel at any time — and while you're deciding, your physician is still there for follow-up whenever you need it.
